About Nutra Waters  /  Why we exist

Wellness advice comes in pieces.

One number. One food. One rule. Most information about vitamins, weight and sport arrives like that: a single fact, with nothing around it to explain what it means for a normal day.

Nutra Waters started six years ago to fix that. We’re an independent information site that puts the missing context back: who a fact applies to, when it matters, and what to compare it with. So you can understand it and decide for yourself.

Clear information. No rules. No hype. No promises.

Pl. 01  /  Input has context

One example. Why we do this.

A  /  What you usually hear

“A 10-minute walk after meals is good for you.”

True enough. But what does it actually mean for you?

Close-up of a moving water surface

One fact.
No context yet.

B  /  What it leaves you wondering

  • Why 10 minutes? What does that number really mean?
  • Is it true for everyone, or only some people?
  • What else matters: the meal, the pace, the rest of the day?
  • Is it as certain as it sounds?
  • Compared with what? Sitting still? A longer walk?

C  /  How Nutra Waters explains it

The full picture

A short walk after a meal is an easy way to add movement to your day. How much difference it makes depends on what you ate, how fast you walk, and how active the rest of your day already is.

A little longer. A lot more useful. That’s why we exist.

The cutting-room floor

What we won’t publish.

Some sentences never make it onto Nutra Waters. Here are the kinds of lines we cut or rewrite, and the short reason why. They say a lot about what we care about.

Examples are paraphrased. We don’t repeat misleading claims word for word.

We keep photos that show real moments and movement. We cut crops that turn a person into a comment on their body.

Cut 01  /  headline

“Change everything in 30 days.”

Too much promise.Not enough explanation.

Cut 02  /  vitamin article

“The one nutrient that explains how you feel.”

Too simple.Real life has more than one cause.

Cut 03  /  weight article

“Here’s what your body type says about you.”

Too much judgment.Information shouldn’t judge bodies.

Cut 04  /  sport caption

“Burns 600 calories.”

Too bare. For whom? Doing what? For how long?

Cut 05  /  explainer

“Supports optimal cellular synergy.”

Too impressive.Sounds like science. Explains nothing.

Cut 06  /  the rule

“Never eat after 7 pm.”

Too certain.People and days aren’t all the same.

What we publish instead

Honest, not loud.

Information that is useful, calm, and clear about what it doesn’t know.

No miracle nutrients, no 30-day makeovers, no comments on body size. If something only works for some people or in some situations, we say so. If the evidence is thin, we say that too. It makes our articles a little less dramatic and a lot more trustworthy.

The people & how we work

One article. Four pairs of eyes.

Real work, done by people

Nutra Waters is made by a small team of researchers, writers, editors and visual designers. Every article is worked on by several of us before you read it.

Each person checks something different, and no one publishes alone. Below, you can follow one article through the four steps.

  1. 01We start with your question

A researcher turns a big topic into the real question people ask in everyday life.

A woman stretching in a concrete room after a run

    Topic: sport nutrition

“Why am I hungrier the day after a long run?”

  2. 02We check the context

An editor asks what’s missing: who this applies to, in what situation, and compared with what.

“Why am I hungrier the day after a long run?”

How long a run? Compared with which day? What was eaten before?
  3. 03We write it plainly

A writer removes jargon and big promises, so it’s easy to read without being dumbed down.

    Before

“Post-exercise appetite modulation is determined by energy expenditure and hormonal signalling.”

    After

“After a long run, your appetite depends on how much energy you used, what you ate before, and how you slept.”

  4. 04We show, not just tell

A designer picks the photo, diagram or number that explains things faster than words.

The same photo, recropped around the stretch itself

Recropped to show the moment, never to judge a body.
